Method
Diagnose, plan, teach, mark, review
The same sequence runs through every service, whether it is A level economics, TARA preparation or a graduate interview. It is deliberately unglamorous, and it is checkable.
The four steps
- 01
Free consultation
Twenty minutes, no payment details, no obligation. We work out what you actually need and whether we can deliver it.
- 02
Written plan
You receive a written plan naming the priorities, the independent work expected and the review point.
- 03
Teaching and practice
One-to-one lessons with set work between them, and marked practice against your real assessment criteria.
- 04
Progress review
A written progress note at the agreed review point, so continuing is a decision rather than an assumption.
Six working principles
Diagnose before prescribing
No plan is written until we have seen your work. A short written task and a conversation locate the real gap, which is often not the topic you expected.
One priority at a time
Progress comes from fixing the thing that blocks everything else, then the next thing. A list of twelve weaknesses is not a plan.
Marked work, in writing
You get written feedback that names one specific fix, against the assessment criteria you will actually be marked on.
Independent work is not optional
Lessons teach method; practice makes it reliable. Expect set work between every lesson, and expect us to check it.
Reviews are decision points
At the agreed review we say plainly whether continuing is worth your money. Sometimes it is not.
Authorship stays with you
We teach, question and give feedback. We never write assessed work, applications or personal statements for you.
Honest limits
Outcomes
Our support is designed to strengthen your preparation. Universities, test providers and employers make their own decisions; admission, scores and employment cannot be guaranteed.
Authorship
We help you develop your ideas, structure your application and improve your own writing. You remain the author and are responsible for the accuracy and final submission of your application. We do not invent achievements or complete assessed work on your behalf.
Wellbeing and study skills
Study-skills support is educational and is not counselling, psychotherapy, diagnosis or crisis care.
Immigration
Our international-student resources provide general educational information and links to official sources. We do not assess personal immigration eligibility, recommend a visa route for your circumstances or prepare immigration applications. For advice about your situation, contact an appropriately authorised immigration adviser or legal professional.
See whether the method fits your situation
The consultation lasts about twenty minutes, costs nothing and takes no payment details. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you.
